What a busy month! Between the two Christmas Charity events we participated in this year, the holiday season has been pretty hectic for us. This year we had the opportunity to work with some amazing people, who came together to help such a great cause. The "Homes for the Holidays" home tours kicked off their 10 year anniversary this past weekend, in benefit of Kids Help Phone. With the help of all the Designers, contributors, sponsors, venders, homeowners and most importantly, all the volunteers, this year they raised over $129,000.00 for the charity, making it the most successful year to date.
This year Accentrix Design worked alongside M. Zanatta Homes, Urban Barn, Our little Flower Company, La Scala Sound, FestiLight and Pedersons Event Rental to decorate the Famous Vancouver Heritage home Casa Mia.
Kids help phone is celebrating 25 years in the community. They help youth and teens with bullying, suicide, emotional health and well-being. They have helped save the lives of countless children and teens, giving them hope and advice about some of the most common challenges facing young people today. We were fortunate enough to be involved in the VIP reception for this event at Casa Mia, which helped put the Christmas spirit into perspective. Casa Mia, built in 1932 with it's Spanish revival exterior and gorgeous interiors, such as the wood panelled dining room, white living room, detailed ceilings, and elegant chandeliers.
